I LIVED IN AN INDIAN VILLAGE! 🐮 Foreigner Reactions to Rural Life in India #VillageWalaRock

  • Published on:  Thursday, January 3, 2019
  • I lived in an Indian village for 1 week and got to learn the ways of rural Indian village life. See the simple old-fashioned ways the villagers still live. It's so different from city life. Living like an Indian village is a beautiful experience and brings you back to the things in life that matter: family, simple food, being connected to the land, plus cards, chai, and hookah. You're going to fall in love in the simplicity and beauty of rural life in India.

In this video, I take you through 24 hours in an Indian village. From sleeping the night before to waking up washing and taking you on an entire tour of this beautiful Rajasthani village.

3:04 Washing your body village style.
3:46 Squat toilets & why Indians don't use toilet paper.
5:44 Tour of a village house.
9:45 Why Cows are so respected & important in Indian villages.
11:08 A huge pile of cow poo fuel.
    14:39 Village street tour.
20:07 Why life is hard for farmers in India.

You get to see how Indian villagers live, how food is prepared, how village houses are, how village streets are, and what happens day to day throughout a village in India. And I talk about issues like the importance of living simply, conserving resources, why Indians use their hand to clean themselves after going to the bathroom, why Cows are so respected in India, and why farmers are so important in India.

The Indian villagers were very welcoming and I got to see and learn how to live the simple life from my girlfriend's family in this village on the border of Rajasthan and Haryana. This wasn't a tourist village, it's a real and remote village where foreigners do not go.

If you want to see a foreigner living in an Indian village and see a foreigner's reactions to daily life in a village in India, then this video is for you.

" Why Do We Live In Excess"(in west)- This one statement of yours made me appreciate you so much more. Why?
    1. You are NOT a subtle (camouflaged sweet talks) India basher, that lots of Western narration Is,
    2. You are appreciating all the things around you on positive AS IS basis, neither pushing western template nor being judgemental. My appreciation and Respect.

Loved the message in the end. I've grown up in a similar neighbouring village, you depicted it properly. I have come far from village but I can share this video with my friends to show them where I come from.
